Layana Aguilar is an internationally known fashion designer whose essence is to enhance the women’s inner beauty.

Layana lives in New York and was born and raised in Brazil. She is originally from the city of Governador Valadares, state of Minas Gerais, and has lived in New York for many years. Layana graduated from the prestigious Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) in 2010, where she won the Hilton Hollis Award. In early 2013, Layana Aguilar became known as one of the designers of Project Runway, season 11. This is a fashion TV show viewed worldwide and of extreme relevance in the fashion industry. Layana has made an exceptional campaign throughout the show, winning consecutive top looks and even collaborating on a design worn by Heidi Klum in one of her TV commercials. Still in 2013, Layana presented her first Fall/Winter collection at the Mercedes-Benz New York Fashion Week.

Layana has had the privilege to work for Oscar de la Renta before starting her own brand in 2013. Her clothing line is called LAYANA AGUILAR  NEW YORK and, even before its launch, has generated high expectations in Brazil and in the United States.
